Min Jung Kim

Since 2021, Min Jung Kim leads the Saint Louis Art Museum as the Barbara B. Taylor Director. She brings to St. Louis, extensive experience in museum leadership. Before coming to St. Louis, Min was director and chief executive officer of the New Britain Museum of American Art, she enhanced the museum’s profile through exhibitions and collection development designed to expand the definition of American Art and reflect greater diversity while strengthening community engagement and collaborative partnerships.

Min has had leadership roles in arts institutions at locations around the globe, both near and far. From the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University to the Solomon R. Guggenheim in Venice, Italy, The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia; and the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.

And now, she is in our beautiful city of St. Louis in a museum overseeing a global collection of nearly 35,000 objects representing every culture. We are so honored to have Min as the first woman in the history of the institution to lead our museum, our staff, and be engaged in the St. Louis communities.

Margaret McDonald

Margaret McDonald is a Senior Principal at HOK. In her role she is part of the leadership team for the St. Louis studio, serves on the firms Board of Directors and co-chairs the Marketing Board.

Under her leadership, HOK has designed and completed STL CITY SC Stadium, Missouri Foundation for Health as well as multiple projects in the Cortex Innovation Community. Margaret is passionate about St. Louis and actively involved in the community.

Currently, she serves on the Board of Trustees for the St. Louis Art Museum, Board of Directors for the Arts & Education Council, and on the Advisory Board for Urban Land Institute. She is a member of International Women’s Forum, Chair Council for Greater STL, FOCUS STL and CREW-St. Louis.

Margaret graduated with a BFA in Art History from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BFA in Interior Architecture from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.


The Saint Louis Visionary Awards is a 501(c)(3) organization that celebrates the numerous contributions and achievements of women who work in or support the arts in the greater St. Louis region.
The Saint Louis Visionary Awards is presented by an independent committee of women dedicated to promoting the arts in St. Louis.

From established working arts professionals and arts educators to
emerging artists and community impact artists, each year's honorees are always truly "visionary".
